I-5 is closed at Chehalis, until further notice.  Yes, part of the largest, longest, most driven road on the west coast is shut down indefinitely.  News reports are saying it will be this way until at least Thursday, but it could be longer than that.

The reason: I-5 is 10 ft. under water in places.

The solution: have people drive 7 hours to get past the flooding. On a one lane highway.

This closure is costing Washington’s economy millions a day- between trucking, train, commuter, traveler, and tourist, etc. delays. Every day the back-up on cargo and personnel is getting worse.

My problem - db clay is having a Trunk Sale at the Nordstrom headquarters in Seattle on Friday.  A very cool and exciting deal for us- if we can get there!  Garett is determined though, I think he’ll take a canoe if he has to.  And he may-based on these photos.

Recently Benjamin went to smoggy Los Angeles to participate in the gift suite for the celebrities attending the American Music Awards.  His description of the event: weird.  He met a lot of different people, the guy that I thought was the coolest was Zack Ward.

Zack has been in everything from “A Christmas Story”, to “Titus”, and most recently “Transformers”.  I have always thought he was great, and his love for db clay affirms this.

As a sophomore in college, I knew very little. I still know very little, but am much more aware of the fact currently. But back then, the world was mine. So, I decided (on a whim) to take a road trip with about 60 other like-minded individuals on a greyhound bus to San Francisco. The trip included three automotive break-downs, one mental one, sweaty jeans, and copious amounts of red bull, alcohol, and fun (in that order).

After the 13th Red Bull, I knew I needed to stop (only drinking Red Bull- it was time to mix). Soon after, the jitters of way too much caffeine subsided and a smooth transition to raging drunk began. God bless you, San Francisco Flugtag.
