Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman - Con Te Partiro

One of my absolute favorites of all time. What I wouldn’t give to go.

That is a lovely piece, performed well by two amazing talents. That ranks as one of my favorite selections. Another is this outstanding performance of Nessun Dorma by Paul Potts, a gifted amateur (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k08yxu57NA). I used to object to the stereotype that all gay men love opera. Then one day I realized I couldn’t deny my true nature. I absolutely love opera, especially tenors and counter-tenors.

These two are amazing together and as individuals. My first real experience with this song was watching Chimeras Winterguard perform a show to this song in 1999. It brings an interesting visual element to an already amazing song. Since then, I have come to enjoy a variety of pieces by Andrea Bocelli.

Sarah Brightman has been a favorite of mine for a long time- I grew up listening to the Phantom of the Opera highlights soundtrack at least once a day, and dreamed of being “Christine”/Brightman.

I agree with Jack- the Nessun Dorma by Paul Potts is incredible. It actually brought tears to my eyes to see such a humble person with such a full and strong voice.

I enjoy your posts and look forward to seeing what else you have to share!
