Liddell vs. Jackson
I saw UFC 71 on Saturday night, and witnessed Chuck Liddell get knocked out by Quentin Jackson. I wasn’t impressed by the fight, but was by Liddell’s comments after it was over. I’m not gonna lie- I thought the interview would be Liddell complaining about how the fight got stopped too soon (1:53 into it, to be exact), how he was the better fighter, etc. Instead, Chuck simply said “I got caught”. Even though he lost the fight, he won my support by manning up and taking responsibility for the loss. Stampage Jackson, on the other hand, is a piece of shit. He could probably kill a pack of ravenous lions with his bare hands- which I respect him for. But, he acted like an immature darsh in the octagon and wasn’t a good sport about the victory. I know a lot of that stuff is for show, but either way I didn’t like him. I like fights like this to go for a while, only because they are both amazing athletes and it’s fun to watch. Unfortunately this didn’t happen, but it was free, so who gives a shit.
This is Chuck and Quentin’s first meeting, watching Chuck’s ribs undoubtedly breaking is hard to watch… The more recent fight will be coming soon.

I also watched this fight. Oddly enough, the college roommate of my girlfriend’s sister-in-law is now Chuck’s wife, and was his girlfriend at the time. She had some stories to tell which made Chuck that much more appealing and the result of the fight that much more disappointing. Rampage is an animal. What he lacks in brains he makes up for with a lack of class. Wait, that doesn’t quite add up.
I agree, plus his head is huge. If someone picks a fight with me that has a disproportionately large head I’m going to walk away- they seem to know how to brawl. Tito Ortiz has one too.
